Whether you are buying or selling, it is very important to have your new or current home inspected by a Certified Maine Home Inspector like myself. 

I am a Certified Master Inspector® and proud member of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI). I abide by InterNACHI's Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics. I am also fully insured and bonded. I am an independent Maine Home Inspector that works for you and will perform an unbiased inspection with the utmost quality and integrity. 

My general home inspections are non-invasive and are an evaluation of the visible and accessible area of the interior and exterior structure, systems and components. Such as the Roof, Exterior, Basement or Crawlspace, Foundation, Interior, HVAC, Plumbing, Attic, Insulation, Ventilation and Electrical. You are invited and encouraged to follow along as I perform the inspection. 

The report is based on observations made on the date of the inspection only and not a prediction of future conditions.  Your report will include my findings of any material defects and safety concerns I discover that day, in an easy-to-read format. I may also provide recommendations
for monitoring, repair, or replacement. 

And my job isn't finished until you understand everything in your report.

My home inspections typically average around two to three hours on-site, depending on the size of the house. There are some inspectors here in Maine that will show up at the inspection with no other tools other than a flashlight and be in and out of the property in 45 minutes. They hand you a few pages of a handwritten checklist report, and then they hurry out to another one of their several inspections they booked that day. I am not one of those types of inspectors. I only schedule one inspection a day, so I can dedicate my day just to you. Once I get back to my office, I review and edit all of my photos and videos from the inspection (which are typically between 250 and 450 photos). I will gather the most important photos and videos to be included in the inspection report. My easy-to-read reports are, on average, around 45 pages.
